Plan Your Visit with kids — Yellowstone National Park for 3 or 5 days
I have visited on July 1st week, it was a little rainy there so it will be a good idea to take a light raincoat or umbrella. There are a lot of mosquitos in Grant Village (day 2 hotel) area(outside not in the hotel).
Plan:
Reach airport(Yellowstone Airport-Wys) in the morning around 10–11, rent a car from the West Yellowstone airport and return in Jackson. Have brunch in the city before heading to Day-1.
Enter to park from West Entrance(need to buy nation park annual pass at gate)
Day 1 —
Canyon Lodge in Canyon Village (Address: Yellowstone National Park, 41 Clover Ln, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190)
(visit while reaching to this hotel) — Mammoth Hot Springs, Boiling River, Lamar Vally, Tower Fall, Dunraven Pass and anything else in the way (Purple color spots in the picture)
Day 2 —
Grant Village (Address: 24 Rainbow Loop, Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190)
(visit while reaching to this hotel) — Artist Point, Uncle Tom’s Trail, Lower Falls, Hayden Vally, Yellowstone Lake and anything else in the way (Yellow color spots in the picture)
Day 3 —
West Yellowstone, MT (Address: Clubhouse Inn — West Yellowstone, 105 S. Electric Street P.O. Box 1745, West Yellowstone, MT 59758)
(visit while reaching to this hotel) — Old Faithful Geyser, Old Faitful Inn, Upper Geyser Basin, Morning Glory Pool, Grand Prismatic Spring, Norris Geyser Basin anything else in the way. (Red color spots in the picture)
You can return from West Yellowstone Airport if you want to do 3-day trip.
Optional — Was very good for kids scenic and relaxing
Day 4 and 5
Parkway Inn, 125 N Jackson St, Jackson, WY.
(visit a lot of roadside scenic places like lakes, valley, lush green landscapes with animals on the way to Jackson Hole hotel. You can also cover leftover day 3 spots or want to see again)
Activities in Jackson Hole:
- Horse riding on a very scenic route(There are many but I did with“A-OK Corral”. Address: 9600 US-89, Jackson, WY 83001), Site seeing
- Teton Village. Don’t forget to take ropeway gondola. after 5–6 it’s free, please check.
- Grand Teton Wildlife Safari in Open-Air Vehicle or by driving as you wish
Take a flight back from Jackson Airport
